My name is Stone Manges, and I am a freshman sports broadcasting major at Waynesburg University. Before college, I called football games on the Richland Football Network, basketball games on the NFHS network, and had numerous public address announcing opportunities with volleyball, basketball, hockey, wrestling, and bocce ball at Richland High School. I also did play-by-play for the national AAABA baseball tournament, Johnstown Collegiate Baseball League, and the Johnstown Mill Rats. At Waynesburg, I have appeared on multiple WCTV productions as a panelist and a host, hosted radio shows on WCYJ-FM, and written for the Yellow Jacket newspaper.

My Story
Growing up in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, I was immersed with sports from the very beginning. Hearing legends like Mike Emerick, Bob Costas, and Mike Lange call Pittsburgh sports, I knew from a young age that becoming just like them was something that I wanted to do. I started by reading lineups from the press box at the VEA Little League in Richland and from there I started to notice that I had a special talent. My high school gave me the opportunity to broadcast girls varsity basketball during the COVID-19 pandemic and I was immediately showered with praise from families and friends around Richland. People outside of Richland started to take note of my talents. Within two years I had positions with the Johnstown Collegiate Baseball League and the All American Amateur Baseball Association. Over the years, my talents were also noticed by broadcasters like Steve Mears, Bob Costas, Lanny Frattare, Paul Steigerwald, and Joe Brand.
